1. CAREERS
• AFCEA

  Deadline: December 10, 2011, $10,000 ( $2500 per year), Student must be planning on entering a science or engineering field of study supportive of national defense, minimum GPA of 3.5 and combined SAT scores of 1200. Involvement in sports, music, leadership, community service, religious service and/or related activities is encouraged.

  Deadline: March 1, 2012, Female Applicants only, minimum GPA of a 2.5, well rounded, highly motivated and possess leadership skills.

  Up to $30,000, African America Student, enrolled full time in a 4 year university starting in Fall 2012. Life science, physical science or engineering major, minimum GPA of a 3.3, can commit to a summer internship.

   • Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

     Deadline: March 30, 2012, $50,000,000 split up among 1,400+ students, Minority student, plan to attend a 4 year university, show leadership potential, show dedication to community service, must be U.S. Citizen. Minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined math and critical reading or composite ACT of 22.

     Deadline: January 1, 2012, $2500 $15,000 $25,000, Must be attending Davidson College, minimum 3.0 GPA.

   • Gates Millennium Scholars

     Deadline: January 11, 2012, All fo ur years of college PAID for!!. African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American or Hispanic American. Must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident, 3.3 unweighted g.p.a. Must enroll at a U.S. accredited college or university. Must demonstrate leadership abilities and must meet the Federal Pell grant eligibility criteria.

     Deadline: March 31, 2012, $1000.00, any graduating high school senior can apply.

   • The Esperanza Education Fund

     Deadline: May 2012, $5,000- $10,000, Born outside of the United States, MD or VA graduate, will be enrolled in an accredited college by Spring of next year.

     Deadline: June 22, 2012, $500.00, All student athletes.
