- Maryland Farm Bureau
The Maryland Farm Bureau announces its 2009-2010 scholarships. 10 $2000 scholarships will be awarded. Seven will be awarded to students pursuing a agricultural curriculum in college. Essay required. Deadline: February 1, 2010
- Fashion Group Foundation
Scholarships for graduating seniors who plan on majoring in Fashion or a related field in college. Deadline: May 30, 2009
- Dr. Kendall Miller Scholarship
$500 scholarship available to a graduating senior who plans to enter the health profession. Applications will be accepted from only the following schools: Severna Park, Chesapeake, Severn, Broadneck, Old Mill, AACS and Glen Burnie. Deadline: May 14, 2009
- Force 3, INC
Two $4000 scholarships will be awarded to students in Anne Arundel County to use for college tuition. Applicants must be pursuing careers in some technical field. Deadline: April 24, 2009
- Federal Water Quality Association
$1000 to $2000 scholarships available to students who plan to pursue environmental careers.
Applicants will be judged based upon grades, test scores, activities and essay. Deadline: April 20, 2009
- Joseph Fox, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Applicants must pursue a degree in reading or a reading-related field, as well as major in Education and plan to teach as a career. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.2. Scholarship valued at $1000. Deadline: April 15, 2009
- Anne Arundel County Council of PTAs
$1000 scholarship to a student interested in a career in education and a $1000 scholarship to a student planning a career in any subject. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Student must be attending a 2 year, 4 year or trade/technical school. Deadline: April 10, 2009
- TAAAC
Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County will award six $500.00 scholarsips. One of the scholarships (Robin Coleman Scholarship) requires a major in science or technology. A $300.00 book stipend will also be awarded. Deadline: April 1, 2009
- Northrop Grumman
The Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars program awards a $10,000 scholarship to one student in Anne Arundel County. Applicants should be pursuing a degree in engineering in college. Students need a minimum GPA of 3.5 with a SAT score of 1700. Deadline: March 31, 2009
- Society of Women Engineers-Baltimore/Washington Chapter
Scholarship program open to females graduating seniors who plan to pursue a career in engineering. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Deadline: March 1, 2009
- CIA

- National CO-OP Scholarship Program
7th annual National Co-op Scholarships. 200 merit based scholarships valued at $6000 each will be awarded. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or better. Must attend one of the National Commission Partner Institutions. Deadline: February 15, 2009
- Maryland Media (Univ. of Maryland)
Two scholarships will be given to outstanding high school journalists. The scholarships will be for in-state tuition to the University of Maryland at College Park. Deadline: December 1, 2008

- Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association
AFCEA is offering a $10,000 scholarship for seniors who plan to enter a science or engineering field of study supportive of national defense.
Students should have a GPA of at least a 3.5 with a combined SAT verbal/math score of 1200.

The Annapolis Chapter will award four $1000 scholarships to African American seniors from A.A. County to defray college expenses. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a SAT score of 1350. Deadline: April 15, 2009

- National Commission for Cooperative Education
170 renewable $6000 scholarships will be awarded by the National Commission.
To be eligible for a merit co-op scholarship a student must apply and be accepted to one of the following schools: Drexel, Johnson & Wales, Kettering, Pace, RIT, Cincinnati, Toledo and Wentworth.

- Thiel College
On January 31, 2010 Thiel College in PA will hold its annual Presidential Scholarship competition for high school seniors.

AU offers the Frederick Douglass Scholarship to qualified students. Applicants must have 3.2 GPA and rank in the top half of their class with satisfactory SAT scores. Deadline: January 15, 2009.

- UMBC
UMBC announces its Meyerhoff Scholarship Program open to all high achieving seniors who have an interest in pursuing studies in science or engineering and eventually obtain a Doctorial degree. - Charles W. Whayland
The 2009 “Pop” Whayland scholarship is available to a graduating senior from Glen Burnie High School. The scholarship is named for the longtime former principal of Glen Burnie. Applicants will be judged based upon academics, extracurricular activities and financial need. Deadline: April 28, 2009
- National Federation of the Blind of Maryland
John T. McGraw Scholarship program with awards in the amount of $1500 and $2000.

- Secretaries and Assistants Association of A.A. County
$500 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to continue their education as a full time student.
Applicants must be a child, dependent or grandchild of a dues paying member of SAAAAC. Deadline: April 13, 2009
- Jeffrey Schmidt Scholarship
Applicants must have participated in the Harundale Youth Sports League for 3 years and extracurricular activities at GBHS for 3 years. Deadline: April 5, 2009
- Baltimore Community Foundation Scholarships
Applicants will complete one common application to apply for scholarships for which he/she is eligible. Deadline: April 1, 2009
- Delegate and Senatorial Scholarships
Delegate scholarships are available to graduating seniors from their respective Delegate in the district that the student resides in. If you do not know your district call the Board of Elections at 410-269-2840 to find out your district and the Delegate that represents that district. Once you find out contact your delegate to inquire about applying for a Delegate scholarship. Senatorial Scholarships can be applied for by filing your FAFSA after January 1. You must check off on the FAFSA that you would like to be considered for a Senatorial scholarship. An application will then be sent to you. Deadline: March, 2009
- Janice M. Scott Memorial Schoarship
Must be a graduating senior with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Applicants must be attending a four year college or university. Should be able to demonstrate leadership activities through community service or extracurricular activities. Deadline: March 31, 2009
- Blacks in Government Scholarship
Applicants must live within 200 miles of Washington, DC and have a 2.5 GPA. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from either an employer or an official of their current school, community organization, or church. Deadline: March 31, 2009
- UAW
Four scholarships will be awarded to students attending an accredited college as a full time student. Applicants must write an essay on a topic listed in the application packet. Deadline: March 31, 2009
- Cynthia E. Morgan Scholarship
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a first-generation college student attending a Maryland college. Deadline: February 25, 2009

2009 SAMMY award program sponsored by the Milk Processors and the USA Today newspaper.

- Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation

- Horatio Alger Scholarship Program

- A Tribute to Women of Color

- MILITARY
- Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $12,000 will be awarded to children of active duty or reserve Marines. Must have a 2.0 GPA and maximum adjusted income of $80,000 or less. Deadline: March 1, 2009
- Army Emergency Relief Scholarship
The Ursano scholarship is awarded to dependent children of Active, Retired, and Deceased Soliders. Awards are made on financial need, academics, and leadership. Deadline: March 2, 2009
