The PTSO of Glen Burnie High School is dedicated to fostering communication and involvement between parents, students, the community, and school staff. We also sponsor several events each year that provide parent education and promote staff appreciation. This year, we have also set a goal to purchase a gopher mascot uniform for use at school and community functions. This is an ambitious goal, and to support it, the PTSO has been busy planning some fundraiser events.
Fundraising Events
The PTSO is holding a Chik-Fil-A night at the Quarterfield Crossings Chik-Fil-A (just off of Interstate 97) on February 7th. The fundraiser begins at 4pm and will be over at 9pm. Be sure to leave your receipt in the fundraising basket located between the condiment shelves.
PARENT / PRINCIPAL FORUM:
Thursday, January 31, 2008 ~~ We will hold our 2nd Parent/Principal Forum in the Media Center. The topic will be “College and Career Pathways.” This event will feature Mr. Sam Salamy, as well as our new College Advisor, Ms. Bellomo, our Career Connection Facilitators, Ms. Shih and Ms. Paugh, and several Guidance Counselors. Please come with any questions and concerns you may have.
WE ENCOURAGE YOUR INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION IN ALL OF OUR ACTIVITIES, AND WOULD WELCOME YOUR ATTENDANCE AT ANY PTSO MEETING. We meet at 7 pm on the second Monday of each month in the Administration Building Conference Room. Park on the Kuethe Road parking lot, and enter through the rear doors near the Auditorium.
