Welcome to the Fort Smallwood Elementary School website!   Fort Smallwood Elementary School provides an exemplary education for students from ages PreK-Fifth grade.  The Fort Smallwood staff fully embraces our mission: We are committed to fostering each child’s full academic potential by providing instruction that is engaging, challenging,  and appropriately supported, and promotes lifelong learning. During the upcoming year, our School Improvement Plan will guide our decisions and efforts keeping our mission as our beacon.  Focusing on Academic Achievement, Safe and Supportive Learning Environment, and Community Engagement, Fort Smallwood Elementary School will support the Strategic Plan goals of Anne Arundel County Public Schools. To achieve these goals, we invite students and parents to become active participants in our programs and initiatives. We hope that the information provided on our website will answer questions you may have regarding school and grade specific details.  Newsletters will be posted online the first Wednesday of each month.  If you need a hard copy, please let the office know.
