Dear Parents,   Welcome to the Deale Elementary School website.  We use this site to make calendar updates and share the most up-to-date information regarding school operation.  You will also be able to connect directly to the email address of your child’s teacher by clicking on the Faculty/Staff tab.  Please check this site regularly as updates are made frequently.   I am in the process of establishing an email listing of all parents and guardians.  By simply sending me an email you can be added to the list.  This will allow me to quickly disseminate information regarding events at the school and send the monthly newsletter electronically.  Our students will also benefit from the money saved by not using paper for the monthly newsletters because those funds will be directed exclusively towards technology for the classrooms.    In an effort to improve communication and provide parents with a venue to access information at anytime, we have created a Deale Community Forum website.  Teachers are able to post specific grade level and class information on the site.  The website can be accessed by clicking on the Community Forum tab in the middle section of the Deale Elementary home page.  Please note the username and password.    I encourage you to be a part of your child’s education and life here at school.  You can do this by becoming a volunteer, monitoring your child’s homework, attending school events, or reading with your child.  If at any time you have a question or want to know how you can help, I can be reached by email at chharris@aacps.org .    Sincerely, Colleen Harris Principal
