Thank you for volunteering at Davidsonville Elementary School (DES).  At DES, we recognize that time is precious and greatly appreciate the countless hours our volunteers give to the students and staff each year. As volunteers, it’s important to remember that we are guests of the school.  Please review the following guidelines to ensure a meaningful experience:   §  Sign in and out with the front desk staff for both security reasons and to track volunteer time. §  Notify the school or volunteer coordinator when an illness or other circumstance prevents you from reporting to school for volunteer activities. §  Be dependable, arrive promptly as scheduled. §  Respect teachers’ responsibilities and schedules. §  Carry out only those duties designed. §  Respect the confidentiality of school and student matters. §  Attend professional volunteer meetings or trainings when requested to be prepared for volunteer duties. §  View the Anne Arundel County required vide on sexual harassment and child abuse prior to volunteering in the classroom.
