Students do not have to be enrolled in the Chinese language elective to participate.  Builders Club Thursdays at 2:50 – 3:50 Sponsor/Room Ms. Scholfield / Room 110 Builders Club is sponsored by the Crofton Kiwanis Club and is a service organization for middle school students. In the past the Club has done many fun activities, as well as community service activities and has sponsored school dances. The club members determine what activities will be scheduled. Women’s Chorus Wednesdays 7-8 AM Sponsor/Room Mr. Abbott / Room 407 Members will have the opportunity to experience choral singing in a smaller setting and experience all types of music. Trip/Competition in Spring. Director's permission is required before attending rehearsal. For more information, please contact Mr. Abbott.  Orchestra Thursdays at 2:50 – 3:50 Sponsor/Room Mr. Sturgis / Room 409 The Band/Orchestra of Crofton Middle School are a direct extension of the classroom learning. Students are placed in the band/orchestra that best meets their needs. The band/orchestra performs at least 4 times a year. The Stage Band will perform jazz, rock and Latin style pieces of music with saxophones, trombones, trumpets, piano, bass, and drum set. This group will perform at the Winter and Spring Concerts with the other bands and will perform on our Spring trip. Students will be able to order electronic kits to assemble during club meetings and then take them home when completed. This club will also prepare and help students complete and work on science projects.   Eagle Club Thursdays 2:50 – 3:50 Sponsor/Room   Mr. Kelly / Room 100 Students are provided the opportunity to learn leadership skills and creativity by overseeing the schools recycling program and the PBIS incentive programs and maintaining a clean environment through the management of the schools paper recycling program.  Diversity Club Thursdays 2:50 – 3:50 Sponsor/Room   Ashley Taylor /Mrs. Parker-Bert/ Room 312 Increase awareness of other cultures, their beliefs, art, holidays, and crafts. Students will do research to gather information through print, oral histories, or the internet about other cultures and will create bulletin boards, displays, murals, school announcements, and web pages, and enter contests to promote cultural awareness and tolerance.
