The Parent Teacher Group is a very active group at Central Special Education School. At present, we are comprised of a small group of parents, the principal, and any teachers or staff who wish to participate. All parents are invited to attend our meetings. There are no requirements for joining the Parent Teacher Group. The PTG organizes activities and events for families to have fun and socialize, organized fundraisers to raise money for equipment, instructional materials and school improvement. We are also a communication link with the Board of Education concerning special education services and issues that affect our school. And lastly, we publish a school newsletter several times during the school year to keep our parents and staff apprised of important information.
The PTG is a great way to be involved at your child's school and make a difference in the quality of their education. We generally meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the school conference room.
