Welding
An opportunity to begin a career that will make the sparks fly in your
life. Learn the art of oxy-acetylene welding and brazing. Enter the
world of arc welding shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding
and gas tungsten arc welding. Learn the skill of oxy-acetylene torch and
plasma arc cutting. Experience the use of pulsed Mig and Tig welding.
Learn basic metallurgy, blueprint reading and welding theory. A senior
year Cooperative Work Experience Program is available.
Career opportunities exist as
production welder, fabricators, pipe line welders, job shop welders,
steel erectors, construction welders, and weld shop owners. Many
welders can become engineers, educators, designers, researchers, welding
sales person, and managers as they add to their education and
experience.
