Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC)Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC) Students

Students receive basic theory and practice in refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and sheet metal. They learn system installation, maintenance repair, troubleshooting, and design. They work on gas and oil furnaces, central air conditioners, and heat pumps. Upon completion of this course students take the EPA's CFC certification test and earn credit towards the Maryland state journeyman license. Career opportunities are available in heating and air conditioning installation, service, manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, and building maintenance. College Articulation available.
