The Electrical Program affords the student the opportunity to gain experience in wiring methods, blueprint reading, wiring diagrams, schematics, electrical safety, the National Electrical Code book, electrical motors, starters and electron theory. Emphasis will be placed on those skills and attitudes necessary to gain employment or to pursue higher education. A senior year Cooperative Work Experience Program is available which can lead to an apprenticeship program. Career opportunities include wireperson, alarm specialist, communications technician, electrical contractor, electrical engineer, electrical inspector, electrical sales manager, motor repair person or self employment. Students are encouraged to join SkillsUSA/VICA. The Students compete in Residential Wiring and Motor Control. Additional Information
