An opportunity using the Power Macintosh Computer with software programs for desktop publishing, word processing, importing text, spreadsheets, graphic design, editing graphics, importing graphics, designing ads, page layout, printing techniques, web page design, and publication design is provided. students learn mastery level skills in the four leading publishing software packages: PageMaker, Quarkxpress, Illustrator and Photoshop. Career opportunities exist as graphic artist, desktop publishing operator, and ad designer. This class will meet at the Centers of Applied Technology–North and South. College articulation is available. Keyboarding Required.
