Dental Assisting Expanded Functions

In this course students will be taught skills in the areas of temporary crown preparation and removal, fluoride application, replacement and removal of subsequent periodontal dressing, placement and removal of the dental dam, and all other allowed Maryland State Expanded Function procedures. At the completion of this one-year course students can elect to test for Certification given through the Dental Assisting National Board. This program is offered to seniors who have completed levels 1 and 2 of the Dental Assisting program.
