The
Office of Instructional Technology’s vision aligns with the Maryland
State Department of Education’s vision. Improved student learning
will be achieved through the seamless integration of technology. The
use of technology, and the digital content that it brings, will create
dynamic and challenging learning environments that engage and motivate
students, enabling them to be independent, creative, effective
communicators, and problem solvers.
Belief
Anne Arundel County Public School’s Instructional
Technology Office of Staff Development recognizes that
computer-related technology is not an end in itself, but rather a tool
to support the learning process. In alignment with the 2002-2007 Goals
of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, it is our belief that
technology should be integrated into instruction to improve student
learning in core subject areas. This integration will also allow for
the acquisition of technology knowledge and skills critical to our
students’ ability to contribute and function in the 21st
century
