2007-2008 School Year
The
students of Anne Arundel County Public Schools have enjoyed buying nutritious
breakfasts and lunches.
Last year, we served more than 5,000,000 lunches and more than 1,000,000
breakfasts in 118 schools.
Contrary
to what many people believe, we receive no county funds to operate our lunch and
breakfast programs.
The source of our revenue is 65% from sales, 33% from Federal
reimbursements, and 2% from the State of Maryland.
Our
meal and milk prices to students will not increase during school year 2007-2008. The
following price structure has been approved by the Board of Education of Anne
Arundel County:

School
meals are not just food.
They are an extension of a school's health and nutrition program and help
children develop a taste for nutritious foods. Children who are healthy and well nourished perform better in school, and
we are proud to be an important part of this educational process.
We

ongoing effort to maintain and increase customer satisfaction.
