The mission of the AACPS Office of Social Studies is to support the overall achievement goal of Anne Arundel County Public Schools;

 

Through instruction in Social Studies in grades K-12,  students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools are equipped with the content knowledge, intellectual skills, and civic values necessary for fulfilling their duties of citizenship in a participatory democracy.
