Description of Social Studies Kindergarten Program
The kindergarten program focuses on self. Kindergarten
youngsters look at themselves and how they interact with others. They see
themselves as members of groups, made up of family members and friends.
They begin to realize that rules are necessary if we are to interact with
others without undue conflict. Finally, they explore the special days that
groups celebrate as they begin to expand their thinking beyond themselves.
