Theatre
Arts I
Theatre Arts I is an introduction to theatre as
a collaborative art among actors, directors,
producers, and technicians. The course focuses on
the entire process of creating a theatrical
production both on-stage and behind the scenes.
Students develop basic techniques in several areas:
body movement, voice, and character, direction, set,
costume, light, and sound design; and publicity.
Theatre Arts II
Theatre Arts II focuses on student specialization
in areas of most interest to them and applies this
specialty to creating a production. Students first
work on production teams to design and preform
excerpts from anchor text, James Lapine and Stephen
Sondheim's
Into the Woods.
