Prerequisite Vocabulary
The words below should be taught prior to this webquest.

Overview:
The students will be able to identify various weather terms through the completion of several tasks.  These tasks will encourage students to associate visual images with appropriate weather terms.  Students will also be able to identify actual weather conditions and construct an overview of what they observe.  This webquest promotes collaboration by allowing students to partner with a classmate to explore weather patterns in various geographical locations.

Student Outcomes:
Task 1: Word and Picture Match
The students will name and identify each weather word by reading a weather story.

Task 2: Daily Report
The students will identify trends and patterns in weather as they observe, record, illustrate and report on the daily weather in their environment by using KidPix.

Task 3: Trip
The students will work with a partner to record the weather in different geographical regions and apply weather information to decision making.

Task 4: Sounds
The students will identify sounds representing different weather components.
