The Career & Transfer Resource Center at Anne Arundel Community College

This program offers a variety of services to AACC students. The focus is on helping students to move from self-assessment activities through the job market process.  The Center offers one-on-one advisement for continuation of career goals at the 4-year institutions in Maryland and beyond.  It is also linked with over 400 local employers who can access the students’ electronic resumes offering increased employment opportunities for current as well as former AACC students.

Many of the Center’s services are also open to high school students.  The web sites below can provide more information on the Resource Center, and Tech Prep opportunities for our high school students.  Visit their website here.....

What is Tech Prep?

Tech Prep has been creating student successes for over a dozen years. It is a partnership (secondary-
postsecondary-business), a process for teaching and learning, and a curriculum structure. It is effective because students’ potential for academic and career success is enhanced when they are motivated to learn in the context of career pathways that are interesting to them. Tech Prep is “useful academics” in action.
