Pallas A. Snider
Pallas Snider was elected by
the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils to serve as the
2005-2006 student member on the Board. As a senior at Severna Park High
School, Miss Snider successfully balances college-track courses with a myriad of
extracurricular activities. An enthusiastic thespian, Miss Snider has played
numerous roles in several productions ranging from acting in school plays, to
playing the French horn, to singing in the chorus, to writing and directing
screenplays.
While also involved in various
student government activities and the school newspaper, Miss Snider has managed
to maintain a challenging academic schedule and a weighted grade point average
of 4.43. Added to her list of accomplishments is the founding of the Model
United Nations Club at her school.
Miss Snider has dedicated her
entire scholastic career to the evolution of students’ rights. As a Board
member, she is interested in providing an influential voice for students through
“e-democracy empowerment.” With the establishment of a computer-based tool that
will accommodate two-way communication, Miss Snider hopes to create a vehicle to
facilitate the needs of her peers. With two younger siblings attending school
in the Severna Park feeder system, she also wants to ensure that future students
are well equipped to navigate through the school system.
The Severna Park resident’s
aspirations include majoring in either linguistics or international relations at
a reputable institution of higher learning.
