Jillian P. Buck

Jillian P. Buck was appointed to a one-year term as the student member on the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County in July 2011.

Ms Buck lives with her parents and younger brother in Crofton. A senior at South River High School, she is very involved in school, church, and community activities.

Ms Buck is a student in South River’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) program. She is also captain of the Community Service Committee for the varsity robotics team, manager for the cross country team, and a member of National Honor Society. In addition, she remains heavily involved in the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils (CRASC).

At her church, Community United Methodist Church, she is involved with their missions program and travels annually to the Appalachian region to provide home repairs. She also served as a student member on the church’s Administrative Council Committee. 

Ms. Buck is also a Girl Scout, where she has earned the Bronze Award and is currently working on her Gold Award.
