Amalie Brandenburg

Amalie E. Brandenburg was appointed to a five-year term on the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County in July 2011.

Ms. Brandenburg is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park.  She holds an undergraduate degree in engineering and a master’s degree in Business Administration.

Ms. Brandenburg and her husband, Brent, are raising their family in Severna Park. She is an active volunteer within the schools her children attend.  She has served on the PTA at Benfield Elementary, as well as various committees both at the elementary and preschool level.

Prior to staying home to raise her family, Ms. Brandenburg was employed in the Industrial Air Conditioning and Water Treatment markets, where she held positions of technical support and sales engineer.

She has a son and daughter who attend Benfield Elementary, and another son currently attending nursery school.
