Student Outcome:
Students will
use the Olympic oath as a model to create a classroom oath.
Introduction:
The 2002 Winter Olympics were
held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 2004 Summer Olympics will be held in
Athens Greece. Each athlete that participates in the Olympics must take
the Olympic oath. Read the Olympic oath and decide with your partner
its importance. It is your job to create a classroom oath.

to the competing athletes when competing with others from around the world.

Identify why the Olympic oath is important to all of the athletes. Complete
