Step One: Working with partners, create a graphic organizer on which to record information about the regions you will be investigating. Be sure to include space for both physical and human characteristics.
| Remember, physical characteristics describe the natural environment of a place (landforms, bodies of water, weather and climate, soil, vegetation, animal life.) Human characteristics describe the people of the place, both past and present, their languages, religions, economic activities, political systems, and their modifications to the environment (buildings, bridges, tunnels, railroads, dams, monuments, piers, cultivated land, settlements.) |
