Process
1. You will be assigned to a group
of 2 or 3 students.
2. Your group will be assigned one of the
following elements of language to be covered in your lesson.

3. Make sure everyone in the group thoroughly
understands the element that your presentation must teach. You may
want to refresh your memories or check for accuracy of understanding by
looking in the glossary of a literature anthology or visiting one of the
web sites below:
4. Create a PowerPoint presentation containing
the elements listed below in the order they are listed:
-
concept attainment activity with at least 5
"yes" models and 3 "no" models
-
a clear and detailed definition of your element
of language
-
3 samples of lines from poems which contain
your element of language; be sure to highlight the element within the lines
of text
-
1 full text of a 10 to 15 line poem containing
repeated use of the element of language you are teaching. Highlight
the element of language each time it appears within the text.
-
a paragraph explaining the overall effect within
the poem of the element of language you are teaching
Remember to make your presentation instructional
as well as visually appealing.
