Introduction:
Your teacher, who lives in
Annapolis, has just learned that some relatives from out of state will
be coming to visit Maryland for seven days next summer. The family consists
of a father, mother and twin fourth graders-a boy and a girl. This will
be their first visit to Maryland and they are anxious to experience as
many of the diverse geographical features of Maryland as possible. They
are also looking forward to learning a little about Maryland's culture
and history.
The family plans to travel on a Wednesday and will depart for home on the next Wednesday. Your class is being asked to research, plan, and propose an agenda/schedule or itinerary for the family that will enable them to visit some of the many wonderful spots in the state of Maryland. You and your partners will gather information on the geographical characteristics of Maryland.
