  • School officials developed a two-year school improvement plan targeting reading and mathematics

Annapolis Middle School is located in Annapolis, Maryland, a town with colonial charm and modern ways. The city of Annapolis has a very historic atmosphere. Annapolis, the state capital of Maryland, is located in Anne Arundel County on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Anne Arundel County was founded in 1649, it was named after Queen Anne of England.  Maryland was one of the thirteen original colonies and became the third state in the United States of America.

Today, Annapolis combines history and modern day practices by acting as the home of two major educational institutions, Saint John's College and the United States Naval Academy. Annapolis is a waterfront town; it is sometimes referred to as the sailing capital of the world.
