Thank you for your tremendous support and active involvement throughout this school year. We have had another successful year. Students made gains in their reading, writing and math abilities which were the areas targeted in our School Improvement Plan. Meaningful instruction will continue until the last day of school. Encourage your children to continue reading daily and to complete all assignments.

Special thanks are extended to the PTA Executive Board and all of its members for the support given to the children and staff members. Because of their involvement we were able to achieve more for all of our students.  On behalf of the third grade students and teachers our thanks are given to the Rotarians of District 7620.  Through their generosity all third graders received a “Student Dictionary.”  The students were excited about receiving the dictionaries.  They discussed ways to use it for the remainder of this school year and in subsequent years.

The Chorus, Band and Strings Spring Concerts were highly successful. We are proud of our students. Their talents and gifts are varied. Commendations are given to the teachers for their instructing and preparing students for these special evening events.

The school office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for your convenience.  Our projected school hours for the 2007-2008 school year are 8:50 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.  These hours are the same school hours currently in place for this year.  The final decision will not be made until the end of July.

Best wishes are extended for continued success both here at Waugh Chapel Elementary and in the future.
