PreKindergarten Kindergarten Extra Curricular Activities
All Kindergarten through fifth grade students are instructed in Language Arts, Science, Math and Social Studies. In addition to these core subjects, they also attend the following cultural arts classes:
- Art
- Computer
- Library Media
- Music
- Physical Education

Please see AACPS' PreKindergarten page for general information. We will have an annoucement
posted on our home page when PreKindergarten registration begins in the Spring. Registration requirements are the
same for all students registering for school. In addition to these requirements, If applying for prekindergarten due to economic need, verification of total combined household income
is required. The preferred document is the household 1040 statement. Temporary Cash Assistance, Food Stamp Number or Foster Care incomes are acceptable. Application is not complete
until income verification has been provided.

Kindergarten Eligibility
According to the Maryland State Department of Education, "A child who will be 5 years old or older on September 1 of a school
year is age-eligible for enrollment in a kindergarten program. The admissions policy of a school must be consistent with this
kindergarten age-of-eligibility requirement."
Anne Arundel County Public Schools follow state regulations for age of entry and does not consider early admission to kindergarten. Early admission to
first grade is an option during the year in which students are eligible for kindergarten.
