using Open Court Reading and Mathematics instruction using Scott Foresman.
Our Science text is Science by MacMillan. Our Social Studies text is
People and Places by Scott Foresman. The Open Court units for the year are:

Our Country and Its People.
Second grade students use a Math workbook in class to learn the many
concepts presented throughout the year. A supply list is available
from the office and on the web page. It is very important that
supplies be available throughout the year. You will be notified when
your child needs supplies replaced. Language Arts and Math homework
are usually assigned nightly throughout the school year. Students will
begin to learn cursive handwriting during the second part of the school
year.
