Overlook Elementary School

     Welcome!  My name is Kristie Battista and I am the Principal here at Overlook Elementary.  This is my first year in the community and I am looking forward to working with you and your children to make Overlook the best that it can be!
     I am coming to you with many years of experience.  I was a classroom teacher for many years and had the pleasure of teaching second grade, third grade, and fifth grade.  I then spent many years as a Reading Specialist before entering into school administration.  I am passionate about instruction and will work hard to ensure that your children are receiving a stellar instructional program.
     Like you, my evenings are busy caring for children.  I am the mother of two boys, a six-year-old and a two-year-old.  They keep me on my toes!  I understand the joys and frustrations that parenting can bring.    Should you need to talk or would just like to stop in to say hello, please know that my door is always open.  I will support you in any way that I can.  I look forward to seeing you soon!
