 SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE

The Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks offers a state-licensed School-Age Child Care (SACC) program in conjunction with Oak Hill Elementary School (OHES).  Designed to meet the ever increasing needs of the working parent, the program was created to provide a safe, enjoyable and enriching child care program for OHES students.

The OHES SACC program is designed to provide a nurturing environment that will promote social interaction, community integration, physical development, and intellectual growth in accordance with the State Child Care Regulations and the National School-Age Care Alliance Standards for Quality School-Age Child Care.  Activities include opportunities for individual and group participation, while providing a balance between self-selected and staff-directed activities.  There is a full component of arts & crafts, sports and games.  Social skills, self-esteem activities, as well as other enrichment opportunities, also complement the program.
