The Student Government Association represents the students of Magothy River Middle School with the faculty, administration, and community. This organization is run by the students. The officers are elected by the studetns in the Fall. There are two representatives from each homeroom. Both representatives are elected by the students in the homeroom class.

The Student Government Association meets once a month  for the General Assembly to plan activities for the school and to discuss issues and concerns that are of importance to the students. These meetings are held after the school day. The Executive Committee (officers and committee chairpersons) meet every Wednesday after school.
 
 
The Student Government Association will: 
  • conduct student elections for officers and representatives. 
  • meet with elected and selected representatives at General Assemblies  each month. 
  • develop training for the student representatives in leadership, communication and responsibility. 
  • sponsor, coordinate and implement various student activities (educational, social and community service) to promote student growth and school spirit. 
  • communicate student concerns and suggestions to the faculty and administration through inservice and committee meetings. 
  • represent the students at Magothy River Middle School at various school, local, county, and statewide meetings.
