            Since our last newsletter, we have collected and organized information to make several kinds of graphs. We have reviewed telling time using hours, half-hours, the quarter hour and even minutes. Perhaps periodically you could ask them to tell you the time in all of those areas. We continue to study addition and subtraction especially in timed tests and with the use of money.

             We just finished our dinosaur unit and I’m sure your child came home and told you about the dinosaurs they saw in the gym. Do you know how to measure a stride? (your kids do!) Now we are going to be learning about the country in which we all live. Who was here first? What did it look like? How did different people from our countries get here? Why did they come here?

            Please continue to check your child’s agenda each evening. Be aware of what they have for homework and help them when they need your assistance. Thanks to those parents who give encouragement to your  children to do their best each and every day.

            Reminder: We have a field trip on Thursday, May 2nd. Each child needs a bagged lunch with a drink. Be sure to have money & permission slips in No Later Than, May 1st. The children must be here by 8:30am!
