Welcome to Fourth Grade!
Mrs. Beth Schwartz, Teacher
Ms. Michelle April
Mr. Matthew Cornelius
Hello families! We cannot believe that we are already in the middle of the fourth marking period. It seems as if our students have just begun fourth grade, and already they are preparing for next year.
There are still a few things the students need to master before moving on to fifth grade. Many of our students still need to memorize their multiplication tables from 0 to 12. If your fourth grader knows these well, try to memorize division facts as well. These are two skills that they must have when entering fifth grade.
In reading, we are still practicing writing summaries and identifying main idea and detail. You can help them with this at home by reading together and then having your child retell the story without looking back. Students should be reading at home for enjoyment every night!
We are very proud of our students who participated in the science fair and in the 24 Math competition. Congratulations!
Have a great Spring!
