The Glendale PTA works under the objects of the National PTA to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, and community and while raising the standards of life to secure adequate laws and protection as well as developing united efforts between parents and educators to secure the highest advantage in education.

Glendale PTA sponsors various activities and promotions throughout the school year. PTA dues and fundraising money are used for compensation for the following programs and activities:

• Teachers Reimbursement - each teacher who is a member of the PTA gets a reimbursement of $50.00 toward educational expenses for their classroom.
• Department Funds - Art, Music, Physical Education, Library, Media, Health Room, and Custodial each get money to use for supplies and educational activities.
• Lunch Funds - children who forget their lunch money receive a free peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This is provided by the PTA.
• School Store - conveniently located in the main lobby so children can purchase reasonably priced supplies for the school.
• Book Fair - the PTA sponsors two book fairs each year. Teachers use the profits of the fall Book Fair to purchase books for their classroom libraries. The spring Book Fair turns the profit from the books back to the customers by offering the incentive buy one, get one free.
