MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Freetown Elementary School is one of 77 elementary schools located in the Anne Arundel County Public School System.  Our school has grades pre-kindergarten through five.
We have two sessions of pre-k, morning and afternoon, with a classroom teacher and an instructional assistant.  A full day kindergarten program and the traditional two session program round out our Early Childhood Education programs.  There are multiple classes at each level.  Freetown also has five full-time special education teachers to meet the needs of our special education students in the least restrictive environment.
Freetown has a full-time reading teacher, media specialist, and guidance counselor.  We also have part-time music, general and instrumental, art, and physical education teachers.
The school has two full-time and one part-time secretaries; a registered nurse, shared with another school; a health assistant, and custodians.  In addition, we have a cafeteria staff that provides breakfast and lunch for our students.
The faculty and staff of Freetown Elementary want to ensure that your child has a successful and positive experience.    It is our goal to provide a safe, positive, nurturing, and challenging environment for learning.  We encourage your participation and support throughout the school year.
