Crofton Woods Elementary is proud to be a Honorable mention, Blue Ribbon School. The Maryland State Department of Education awarded our school this Honorable Mention in 1999. Our town is small and friendly, with a town hall, shops, churches, and many things to do. Crofton is located near Annapolis, and Baltimore, Maryland, as well as our nation's capital, Washington, D.C. We are also near the Chesapeake Bay, where many people go boating and sailing. The Bay, which is a very large body of water, is where watermen catch fish, clams, and Maryland's famous blue crabs.
