The Diesel Technology course prepares the student to repair diesel engines used in a wide variety of vehicles and applications. The course content includes extensive theory and practical applications of diesel, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic technologies. Students learn basic troubleshooting, repair and overhaul principles of diesel engines and related systems. Attitudes, work habits, skills and knowledge needed for entry level employment will be developed by each student. This course has been developed in partnership with Cummins Power Systems and is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). Students who complete this course receive a one year credit in work experience toward Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. |
