This career education path is designed for those students who are interested in gaining a variety of skills needed to maintain and improve residential, commercial or industrial property. It will also teach the receiving and distribution of materials within commercial and industrial facilities. This program is open to juniors and seniors. It consists of six units: Interior Maintenance, Floor Care, Painting, Floor Covering Installation, Fence Installation, Exterior Maintenance, and Distribution and Warehousing. Each unit will be taught in a nine week 2 1/2 hour class. The six units will be covered in 1 1/2 years. The last semester will consist of a mandatory work experience in an off site location. Students must have transportation for second semester senior year to be a completer in this program. These work site experiences will be provided at local businesses and will be supervised by the class instructor. |
