Annapolis Elementary is an innovative school in a traditional setting. We are proud that our school is the oldest public school in the state. Our building, over one hundred years old, is not out of place in the city's historic district. The state capital building, Naval Academy, city dock, museums, and many historic sites are within walking distance from the school. Our largest classroom is the city itself.
Our diverse school population of approximately 200 students is drawn from three nearby communities: the North Severn River U.S. Naval Support Station, Historic Clay Street, and Historic Downtown. We are fortunate to have active, supportive families from each of these communities.
