Mission
It is the purpose of the Division of Career & Technology Education to provide Educational experiences and/or career paths that enable students to gain technological literacy, life skills and job skills, and post high school educational opportunities.
Precepts
- All students will have equal access to all programs
- Programs will reflect changes in technology, business, industry, and society
- Course offerings will maintain a balance of theory, interdisciplinary activities, and applied learning
- Teaching will prepare students for varied roles and responsibilities in life
Philosophy
The motivating principles under which the Division of Career & Technology Education provides career programs are to:
- provide training for skill attainment
- prepare students for further education
- promote problem-solving and decision-making
- teach effective communication skills
- develop positive work attitudes and ethics
- provide connections for occupational and educational opportunities
Student Outcomes
Upon completion of Career & Technology Education programs, students will be able to:
