Book of the Month

Her best friend and co-editor of the yearbook, Will, helps fill in some of the important details from Naomi’s life, but what if she doesn’t want to be the old Naomi?  What if she wants to be a new, more unpredictable Naomi who prefers the company of the mysterious boy who rode with her to the hospital over her predictable, jock boyfriend?   In the end, she becomes not one or the other, but a blend of her two personalities and learns a lot about love in the process.

This book is fun for every person who’s ever wondered who they would be if they had the chance to do it all over.

           Memoirs of a teenage amnesiac
                    by Gabrielle Zevin
                (the author of Elsewhere)

The teen years are filled with a lot of changes: new schools, new friends, new styles.  What if you could do it all over?  Wipe the slate clean and reinvent yourself?   Naomi Porter does just that.

After falling down the stairs at school, popular & pretty Naomi looses all memory of the past four years: her parents’ divorce, her mom’s new family & father’s new fiancé, and why, exactly, she likes her handsome but uninteresting boyfriend…
