The Safety Patrol at West Meade consists of 14 students from fifth grade. The program is in collaboration with the AAA School Safety Patrol program.  members are selected for their leadership, courtesy, dependability, interest, attitude towards others and their scholastic standing.
The primary aims of the Patrol are:

• To help children cross streets safely on their way to and from school
• To help children become safe pedestrians
• To foster qualities of leadership and good citizenship in Patrol members.
