It is the goal of the Guidance Department to support school success for all students.  The guidance program helps students with their academic, career and personal / social development.

Students meet with the counselor in a classroom setting, small groups or individually.  The counselor works with parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals regarding students.

All students participate in the Second Step pro-social skills program in their regular classrooms.  Monthly Character traits are incorporated in weekly announcements and posted throughout the school. You may visit www.charactered.net  username: SPE and password: bobcat to access student  activities.

The Human Relations Committee sponsors monthly school spirit days, and other activities that help create a positive learning environment in school and promote cooperation among the community and school.

Severna Park Elementary has a Family Resource Center with information on a wide variety of topics.
