| Holiday Gift Project |
North Glen students will create book markers that will
include :
First and Last Initial
Holiday greeting for sponsor
JHHC Employees will donate $5 for a sponsor card. Their donation will
provide a book gift for a child.

Book markers are due to JHHC on November 5th.
North Glen will provide census by grade.
JHHC will purchase books from Scholastic using 2006 book selection. |
| Holiday Party |
North Glen music students will be invited to perform for the
JHHC holiday party. |
December 14th - 1:30 p.m. JHHC to arrange and
provide transportation.
JHHC will give goodie bags to each student. |
| 5th Grade Transition Party |
Fifth grade students will be invited to attend an open house
at Lindale Middle School.
The visit will be followed by lunch. |

North Glen will contact George Lindley, Principal of Lindale to schedule
date.
Mary Jo and Maura will plan once details of "First Step" have been
determined.
JHHC will provide transportation.
JHHC will provide lunch at Cactus Willies.
North Glen will coordinate permission slips and parent volunteers. |
| Field Day |
JHHC Employees will serve as volunteers during N.G.'s annual
field day.
JHHC will provide a snowball truck for field day. |

| Health Related In-Services |
Program will include education and in-services on health
topics related to children. JHHC's health educator will work with North
Glen's school nurse and other appropriate faculty members to develop
programs on selected topics.
Topics may include:
Dental Education with
distribution of toothbrushes to be held in February 2008 in conjunction
with Children's Dental Health Month.

JHHC will coordinate directly with Celeste Cofelt. |
| Guest Reading |
JHHC Employees will visit North Glen to read to
students in the classroom. Books to be pre-approved by North Glen.
One JHHC Employee will be assigned to each of the 14 classrooms. They
will serve as guest readers three times during the school year. |

| Mentoring |
JHHC Employees will function as mentors to students in a program
that focuses on the 3rd grade Math curriculum. Qualified mentors will be paired with two-
three 3rd grade students whom they
will meet with twice a month during the school year. Closing celebration
will be a field trip to the Science Center |
North Glen will create all lesson plans and
distribute to JHHC one week in advance of session. Mentoring will
begin in November. Sessions will be held on the first and third Tuesday of
each month from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. The days are as follows:
November 6th
December 4th, 18th
January 15th
February 5th, 19th
March 4th, 18th
April 15th
May 6th, 20th
June 3rd (field trip)North Glen will schedule and make all arrangements

| Kenya Connect |
JHHC will support multicultural night at North Glen, if it
is determined that one will take place. |
Mrs. McVearry will follow-up with Ms. Taylor to
see what assistance will be needed.
Maura will coordinate with Tim Greggory if program is to be held. |
| Letter Writing Campaign |

April 11th or 14th
Maura suggested that North Glen engaged the students in a letter writing to
our troops.
Mrs. Young suggested that if possible that we collect the names of troops,
so letters could b e addressed individually.
Maura will follow-up with Kerry from the MD National Guard on letter writing
campaign. |
| Teacher Wellness Day |
Mrs. McVearry would like to do something for the
teachers/staff during an in-service day to show how much they are
appreciated.
Note: JHHC is committed to several other county schools on in-service days. |
Maura suggested a Wellness Day, similar to what
was presented at Pershing Hill Elementary.
Mrs. McVearry will follow-up with JHHC as for what she is interested in
doing.
Availability will be determined whether this is durable. |
