CUSTODIANS

SAY HELLO TO MR. SILKWORTH...

Even though Mr. Silkworth is a new member of the Hilltop family,
he is not new to Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Coming over from his last post at George Cromwell Elementary, Mr. Silkworth has been working for the county for over thirty years.
He now heads up Hilltop's custodial crew.

MEET "MISS DEBBIE..."

Cheerfully doing her part to help keep Hilltop clean and tidy is "Miss Debbie".

Recently Miss Debbie took a break from her feather duster and vacuum and headed up to Canada. Here she is learning how to snowshoe in Quebec. (So far so good -- she hasn't fallen yet!!!)

Back in Maryland her favorite food is Maryland's steamed crabs.

Her favorite television show is the old re-runs of "ER."

"Sister Act" with Whoopi Goldberg is her favorite movie.

Miss Debbie doesn't have any pets right now, but she does have a son and a daughter. Her son is 21, and her daughter is 17.

Ten-pin bowling is Miss Debbie's favorite sport. She is still waiting to bowl a perfect game, but she's having a good time trying!

Miss Debbie's been at Hilltop for the past dozen or so years, but before that she's worked for different schools in Anne Arundel County since 1980.

MEET "MR. BUD..."

Mr. Bud joined the Hilltop crew during the 2004-2005 school year.

Here he is with the crew of Race Car #48, plus family and friends,
having a good time in Victory Lane at Potomac Speedway.
(That's Mr. Bud in the white hat.)

He has a daughter who is 18, and a son who is 16, and then a little guy who is 3.

SAY HELLO, TO "MR. CARL..."

Mr. Carl joined the Hilltop team during the 2005-2006 school year.

Say "So Long" to "MR. RAYMOND..."

While Raymond Taylor was working at Hilltop he was studying to become a custodial crew chief. He was recently promoted to that position at Corkran Middle School.

Mr. Raymond graduated from Annapolis High School in 1983.
He still lives in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

He describes his age as being "OLD ENOUGH."

His favorite color is red.

He doesn't have any pets,
but he does have children.

He enjoys playing baseball, and basketball, but his favorite sports team to watch is a football team.

Can you guess which team Mr. Raymond roots for?

(If you guessed The Pittsburgh Steelers, you are right. The Steelers have been his favorite football team ever since he was a kid.)

When it comes to baseball, Mr. Raymond likes the Baltimore Orioles.

His favorite food is pizza.

Believe it or not, Raymond DOESN'T like ice cream!

He likes fast cars, math, going to parties, and going out to dinner.

If you are wondering,"What ever happened to Mr. John???"

He is now at nearby Richard Henry Lee Elementary School, where he is the Chief Custodian.

We miss
Mr. John,
avid fisherman
that he is.
Here he
shares his
expertise with
some old friends
at Hilltop...

...and laments the ones that got away...
