Our Media Center is the hub of our school, with classrooms for grades one through five branching off it.
In addition to a collection of over 12,000 books, our Media Center has networked computers available to
facilitate students' research using approved technology resources.
Library media instruction instills in our students both a love of literature and the skills to use information sources effectively.
Media lessons incorporate what the students are learning in the major subject areas. The Open Court Reading curriculum includes literature and research components that tie in directly with Media instruction. Also, Media lessons include selected content from the Social Studies and Science curricula.
Unique to our school is the popular "Media Millionaire" program. Students may earn "media money" by successfully answering questions related to lesson content and/or by completing various enrichment activities. The "media money" may be redeemed for bookmarks.
