Sarah Ferguson
Sarah Ferguson
was elected by
the Chesapeake Regional Association of Student Councils to
serve as the 2004-2005 student Board member. As a senior at Arundel High School,
Miss Ferguson demonstrates a commitment to achievement by successfully
maintaining a rigorous course load and extracurricular schedule. Between her
advanced classes, she enthusiastically performs her Peer Helper duties by
mentoring and providing mediation for her fellow students.
Although an active
member of the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County and county student
government association, Miss Ferguson also
finds time to perform with her school’s Drama Club and
Vocal Ensemble. Her vocal talents, in particular, have led to many earnest
recognitions as well as induction into the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the
International Thespian Society. The dedicated Fellowship of Christian Athletes
member also shares her gifts with the Belcroft Bible Church Youth Praise Band
and Youth Group.
As a Board Member, Miss Ferguson is interested in the many
instructional approaches taken with elementary students. With a desire to make
sound decisions that encourage achievement, she has visited and
will continue to visit the county’s elementary schools to learn about and
compare educational environments. The Crofton resident and future business
leader hopes to major in business with a focus on marketing, and matriculate to Campbell University in
Buies Creek, NC.
